ASSOCIATE GIS ANALYST

An Oklahoma City company is seeking an Associate GIS Analyst to support an extremely active geological and engineering acquisition staff.  Company is centrally located and offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

 

Qualifications

  • Competent in the use of ArcGIS.
  • Knowledge of the petroleum industry.
  • Ability to conduct well research using publicly available sources including:  IHS Energy data, Oil Law Records, Drilling Info data, and state regulatory agency websites.  Willingness to consult multiple sources as necessary to verify information or fill gaps in data.
  • Ability to correctly enter well and land data into a variety of program/databases including:  company proprietary database, file and personal geodatabases, Access.  Ability to organize, maintain and update these databases.
  • Excellent research, organizational and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Cartography or a related technical discipline, or work experience sufficient to have resulted in the required skill set.
